Tomari Nuclear Reactor #3 to be back in operation?!

This will be the first nuclear power plant in planned inspection that is to be put back in operation ever since Fukushima nuclear accident. Yesterday, someone at work asked me, "Is it true that Japan has announced that all its nuclear plants will be put out of commission?". No, far from it. Some plants elsewhere in the country are slated to be brought back for operation with the very same model as the failed Fukushima reactors. We don't even see any prospect of those melted down nuclear fuel to be contained. For that matter, we don't even know how far it has sunk into the ground. Radioactive contamination continues to spread throughout Japan via air, water, food, fertilizer and cattle feeds and who knows what else. 海江田経産相はこれを受け一両日中に検査終了証を北電に交付し3号機は営業運転に移行する。定期検査中の原発の営業運転入りは福島原発事故後初めて。
